MY GENERAL PRINCIPLES
If I were to break it all down, I am most interested in helping people become GREAT HUMAN BEINGS. To operate to their full potential in all aspects of their life - health, relationships, professional expression, and even their connection to something bigger than them. I like to help create ROLE MODELS who create a positive ripple effect in their personal and professional circles. We also aim for GREAT, not PERFECT. And we are about SUSTAINABILITY over the LONG-TERM. Plus living a life of CONSCIOUS AWARENESS and choosing MEANING and FULFILLMENT over fame, fortune and power. And finally, doing life HARD, is not one of our aims.
However, I am also a fan of tough love, calling BS, staying grounded in "reality", being authentic (and imperfect), and not sugar-coating a pile of dog shit to make it more palatable.
MY METHODOLOGY
I will use everything I have in the toolkit.
As a result of 14-years as an Officer in the army and 5-years consulting to mega events; I have a solid background in Strategic Planning, Leadership and Managing People. But since 1999 I have added to that: personal fitness training, energy work, yoga, NLP, hypnotherapy, and other modalities that include Emotional Freedom Technique, breathwork (pranayama), Timeline Therapy, etc..
A key focus is on Optimum Health and Vitality. If our Nervous System is cooked from an overuse of adrenalin (and cortisol), this is a great place to start, using breathwork and mindfulness practices.
Having coached for over 18-years, and read, researched and written about, for the last 18+ years, all things about physical and mental health, there are plenty of "strategies" I use to re-educate the intellect and body to right function.
So in essence I use a combination of teaching deeper KNOWLEDGE, establishing the most effective STRATEGIES, and doing some techniques that are more focused on the NERVOUS SYSTEM and the SUBCONSCIOUS MIND to create a HOLISTIC outcome.
HOW I WOULD DESCRIBE MYSELF
I am a reformed ratbag, who finally decided (in 1999) that things went wrong in my life, not because of things outside myself, but because I had bad habits and made poor choices.
From that point, I was on a mission to learn more about the human condition, and what lead to optimum performance, success, and great quality of lifestyle.
I am extremely curious. I have a thirst for knowledge, in a broad range of topics. I am disciplined. I do practices to work on raising my consciousness and conscious awareness. I am fine with admitting my faults, failures and fuck-ups. I fuck up less, and to a smaller scale, than I did in the past.
My 2 highest values are Leadership and Evolution.
I have limited time for stupidity and poor leadership. I question everything, and have low trust in (often) self-appointed "authorities" and "experts". I like to try stuff out to see if it works (as opposed to take someone's word for it). I like to challenge myself physically and mentally.
And I often ponder what the meaning is of all of this (which I am yet to figure out). I consider myself grounded and aim to live my life authentically, giving less of a fuck about what other people think of me and my choices..
And yeah, I do swear a bit.
THE PROCESS I USE FOR NEW CLIENTS
I like to share the risk with new clients, because you don't know me personally, so this is my process.
1. I email you 2-3 documents to complete, to give me context and you a better understanding of what drives you.
2. We schedule a 2hr session.
3. We do the session.
4. You pay AFTER the session (US$ 350) and only IF the session was of value to you.
5. If you decide you want to do a 3-6 month program with me I will send you a very detailed Proposal; and if we work together, you don't have to pay for that initial session. The average cost for a 6-month program is about AU$ 10,000.

MY LIFE STORY
(The speed-dating version)
1969: Born in Gordonvale (far north Queensland). Lived in Townsville, Mount Isa and Bundaberg.
1987 - 2001: Joined the Australian Army. Went to the Royal Military College - Duntroon. In the Engineer corps. Retired as a Major.
2001: Travelled around the world.
2002 - 2006: Was a senior Security Consultant to Olympic Games (Salt Lake 2002, Athens 2004, Torino 2006) and the Asian Games 2006.
2007: Travelled around the world (again), plus studied in the USA as an NLP Master Practitioner and Coach.
2007 (Sep) to present: Based in Bali. Coaching, teaching, presenting, and writing (6 books and a 20-year Newsletter).

After 18 years Coaching, I have a good sense about the ways that people make their lives WAY harder than they need to be, because of the quality of their choices, just not knowing a better way, or not being aware of the REAL cost of their choices.
